This little board is a GY9250 gyroscope+accelerometer that enables Dangly Too to know which direction he is heading and any change in that direction. It’s connected to the Raspberry Pi using an I2C cable and with a clever bit of software it returns a fusion of the sensors to give useful direction information. Neat!
Once coupled with the motor controller software, we can ensure a constant direction, even when the ground moves beneath us. Perhaps useful in the Temple of Doom?
We’re also going to use it to achieve the Escape Route, to ensure we don’t veer off course too much and hopefully escape quickly!
